Shapemaster Toning Chairs
Shapemaster Toning Chairs offer a unique blend of passive, active, and resistance exercises to effectively engage your muscles. The passive mode features gentle vibrations that stimulate muscle contractions without requiring active effort, perfect for relaxation and recovery. In active mode, you can specifically engage your muscles, while resistance settings add an extra challenge to enhance strength and toning throughout your body.
The Chest & Legs Toning Chair
The Chest & Legs assists flexion and extension of all four limbs. The push down action of the legs strengthens the thigh and buttock muscles. The rowing action of the arms strengthens the arm and shoulder muscles. Exercises performed involve upper and lower body for many muscle groups including the buttocks shoulders, back, arms, chest, legs and core stabilisers.
The Chest & Legs is also excellent cardiovascular machine, working the heart and lungs, helping to raise energy levels and increase oxygen supply to the cells. Coordination is improved, the heart is strengthened and metabolic rate is increased. A good fat burning exercise combination.
The ability to move easily frim sitting to standing is important for functional independence and requires strength within the extensor muscle groups that are strengthened by the Chest & Legs.
BENEFITS
- Improved upper & lower limb strength
- Improved balance & mobility
- Increased aerobic fitness
The Flys & Thighs Toning Chair
The Flys & Thighs firms the inner and outer thigh, helps to develop, improve and shape the chest and shoulder areas and increases mobility in the hip and shoulder joints.
The upper body performs a flat flying exercise targeting the pectorals (chest muscles) and a rowing type exercise for the shoulder muscles, especially targeting the posterior deltoid. Simultaneously, legs are performing exercises for both abductor and adductor muscle groups, trimming hips and thighs.
The outward action of the arms provides a stretch
to the front of the shoulder that reduces stooping of the posture and maintains the ability to reach away from the body. The outward movement of the thighs encourages activation of the abductor muscles around the hip joint, important for balance and walking.
BENEFITS
- Toned thighs and buttocks
- Improved upright posture
- Improved balance
- Increased shoulder flexibility
- Improved hip strength and flexibility
The Seated Climber Toning Chair
The Seated Climber is a cardiovascular machine that exercises bath the upper and lower extremity, helping to shape and strengthen the deltoids and larger muscle groups of the upper back. Alternate Lateral Pull Down and Shoulder Press targets the upper body, concentrating on the deltoids.
Strengthening of the larger muscle groups of the upper back, mainly the Lattisimus Dorsi, is also a focus.
Overall, the effects of using Lateral Pull/Leg Step gives definition, shape and strength to the upper back, shoulders and thighs. It also aids and improves posture whilst shaping the buttocks and strengthening and firming the legs. A great cardiovascular exercise.
BENEFITS
- Improved shoulder mobility for reaching activities
- Improved shoulder control to prevent injury
- Increased hip strength and mobility
- Improvement to walking and stair climbing
- Increased aerobic fitness
The Side Bend Stepper Toning Chair
The Side Bend Stepper is an excellent cardiovascular machine that exercises the major muscle groups (both upper and lower extremity) and works the heart and lungs – helping to raise the energy levels and increase oxygen supply to the cells. It also helps to improve coordination.
Muscle groups strengthened include buttocks, shoulders, back, arms, chest, legs and core stabilisers.
Rectus Abdominis, external and internal obliques and erector spinae (lower back) are also engaged.
BENEFITS
- Increased strength for standing and stepping
- Improved posture
- Reduced back pain
- Increased ribcage flexibility
- Improved muscle tone
The Tummy Crunch Toning Chair
The Tummy Crunch is another multifunctional machine that works the abdominals (tummy) and lower back whilst mobilising both hip and knee joints and buttocks.
Rectus abdominus contracts during the sit up motion and the knees to chest action adds extra workload to the power end of the muscle, firming and flattering the problematic tummy area.
A back extension follows the sit up which targets the back extensors (Erector Spinae). These muscles are like powerful columns that support the spine. Exercising these muscles helps to strengthen the back and therefore prevent lower back pain. Overall, the effects of the Leg Press gives definition to the thighs whilst working the gluteus and quadriceps, encouraging shapely buttocks and upper legs.
BENEFITS
- Increased flexibility of the rib cage
- Improved lung function
- Reduced back pain
- Improved posture
- Increased shoulder flexibility
The Waist Away Toning Chair
The Waist Away provides a superb exercise targeting primarily the oblique muscles, creating a narrow waistline whilst firming and flattering the abdominal wall.
The internal and external obliques are diagonal muscles that lie underneath the Rectus Abdominus. These muscles are responsible for twisting actions. The Erector Spinae muscles are also used, therefore strengthening the lower back.
This unique exercise combination provides fast results, creating a slim waist and firm flat abdominals.
BENEFITS
- Tightened abdominal muscles
- Strengthened obliques
- Increased flexibility of the ribcage
- Improved lung function
- Reduced back pain
- Improved posture
- Increased shoulder flexibility
