Shapemaster Toning Beds
Shapemaster Toning Beds utilize a unique combination of passive, active, and resistance exercises to engage your muscles effectively. Passive exercises involve gentle vibrations that stimulate muscle contractions without requiring active effort, making it ideal for relaxation and recovery. Active exercises allow you to engage your muscles more intentionally, while resistance settings provide added challenge to help build strength and tone throughout your body.
The Flys & Thighs Toning Bed
The Flys & Thighs firms the inner and outer thigh, helps to develop, improve and shape the chest and shoulder areas and increases mobility in the hip and shoulder joints.
The upper body performs a flat flying exercise targeting the pectorals (chest muscles) and a rowing type exercise for the shoulder muscles, especially targeting the posterior deltoid. Simultaneously, legs are performing exercises for both abductor and adductor muscle groups, trimming hips and thighs.
The outward action of the arms provides a stretch to the front of the shoulder that reduces stooping of the posture and maintains the ability to reach away from the body. The outward movement of the thighs encourages activation of the abductor muscles around the hip joint, important for balance and walking.
BENEFITS
- Toned thighs and buttocks
- Improved upright posture
- Improved balance
- Increased shoulder flexibility
- Improved hip strength and flexibility
The Hipster Toning Bed
The Hipster is extremely versatile and, through a variety of exercises, gently tones and firms the hips, buttocks, lower back and legs. Exercises selected depend upon physical capability but range from gentle to advance.
The Hipster also facilitates the movement known as Swim Kicks. The exerciser gently assists through alternate prone hip extensions, which also provides a gentle lower back exercise.
This exercise can be performed on the stomach whilst tensing muscles in the buttocks and supporting the head with crossed arms.
BENEFITS
- Increased hip strength and mobility
- Reduced back pain
- Improved balance
- Increased aerobic fitness
- Improvement to walking and stair climbing
The Tummy Crunch Toning Bed
The Tummy Crunch is another multifunctional machine that works the abdominals (tummy) and lower back whilst mobilising both hip and knee joints and buttocks.
Rectus abdominus contracts during the sit up motion and the knees to chest action adds extra workload to the power end of the muscle, firming and flattering the problematic tummy area.
A back extension follows the sit up which targets the back extensors (Erector Spinae). These muscles are like powerful columns that support the spine. Exercising these muscles helps to strengthen the back and therefore prevent lower back pain. Overall, the effects of the Leg Press gives definition to the thighs whilst working the gluteus and quadriceps, encouraging shapely buttocks and upper legs.
BENEFITS
- Tightened abdominal muscles
- Improved posture
- Prevention of back pain
- Improved balance
- Strengthened hips
The Waist Away Toning Bed
The Waist Away provides a superb exercise targeting primarily the oblique muscles, creating a narrow waistline whilst firming and flattering the abdominal wall.
The internal and external obliques are diagonal muscles that lie underneath the Rectus Abdominus. These muscles are responsible for twisting actions. The Erector Spinae muscles are also used, therefore strengthening the lower back.
This unique exercise combination provides fast results, creating a slim waist and firm flat abdominals.
BENEFITS
- Tightened abdominal muscles
- Strengthened obliques
- Increased flexibility of the ribcage
- Improved lung function
- Reduced back pain
- Improved posture
- Increased shoulder flexibility
The Posture Pullover Toning Bed
Posture Pullover’s combination of exercise helps improve posture. The chest, shoulders and upper back trained while simultaneously expanding and stretching the rib cage.
The moving pad gently lifts the rib cage helping the chest to expand, improving breathing. The pullover action firms and strengthens the chest, upper back, upper arms and shoulders, resulting in improved posture and upper body mobility. The triceps (upper arms) and waistline also benefit from the exercise.
BENEFITS
- Increased flexibility of the rib cage
- Improved lung function
- Reduced back pain
- Improved posture
- Increased shoulder flexibility
